Hi friends. Happy June….?! Already? ❤️
☕️ I’m drinking coffee again, living fiercely.
It’s a way of life. A commitment. A promise to myself—and to anyone who stumbles across these words—that I will show up with authenticity, creativity, and something worth reading. Always.
Because that’s exactly what I do. It’s how I’ve moved through the world ever since I was dubbed “warrior girl” in the Hollywood music scene back in the early 2000s. There’s always been something fierce, something fire-lit, stitched into my name—whether in the form of strength, passion, defiance, or just… truth. A record exec once told me, “If she were a little more demure, she’d be signable.” Lol. Go figure. I wasn’t born to be demure—I was born to be real. And I’ve lived my life as such.
To live fiercely means to go after your dreams—hard. To follow your passion even when the path gets messy, unpredictable, or doesn’t come with a clear roadmap. It’s showing up fully. It’s embracing the evolution of self, unapologetically.
And here’s the thing: living fiercely doesn’t always look like giant leaps or headline moments. Sometimes, it’s as small and quiet as rediscovering the joy in something simple… like coffee.
I gave it up for fifteen years. Then, one trip to Rome changed everything. Out of nowhere, I started drinking it again—but only cappuccinos. The foam. The art. The ritual. It’s a real thing. A whole mood. Now, not only do I make them at home, I actively hunt down cute, indie coffee roasters across Los Angeles—yep, still living here. These little adventures have reignited my joy for street life, community, and those tiny doses of daily beauty. As they say in Awwwstralia… it’s “a little bit of cultcha.” ☕😉
So here we are. The Gilli Moon written muse of everything I do, from music, to art, to rambling, to linking out to my brands, to, anything that makes it on the page. Only this time with a freshly brewed coffee next to my pen.
xo,
Gilli
